KATHRYN RADAKOVICH

Noted as a "very expressive soprano" (Opus Colorado), Kathryn Radakovich enjoys a varied career performing works from the modern, classical, baroque, and jazz idioms.

A recent transplant to Philadelphia, this season, Kathryn makes her debut with The Crossing, returns to Helena's Musikanten Montana as a soloist in Viva Vivaldi!, Kathryn also makes her debut with Philadelphia-based vocal sextet Variant 6 in the world premiere of Wally Gunn’s Moonlite, followed by a tour of Nashville, TN and Columbus, OH. 

Kathryn's solo engagements from seasons past include appearances with; Musikanten Montana in Bach's St. John Passion, as Musica and Ninfa in Monteverdi’s Orfeo with Baroque Chamber Orchestra of Colorado under the direction of Stephen Stubbs, with the Colorado Chamber Players under the direction of Matthieu Lussier in Handel’s Messiah, the Colorado Springs Philharmonic in Bernstein: On Stage and Screen, the Victoria Bach Festival in Bach's Magnificat, the Ars Nova Singers in their production of Will Todd’s Mass in Blue, in Handel's Messiah with the Cathedral of St. John in the Wilderness, Denver, and in Kevin Padworski's Reflections on a Mexican Garden with Colorado Chorale and Cantabile, and headlining the Kathryn Radakovich Quintet return for Part II of their Tribute to Nina Simone residency at Nocturne Jazz and Supper Club, in Denver.

An active recitalist, Spring 2018, Kathryn premiered two song cycles at the Dairy Arts Center in Boulder: Annie Booth's Flowers of Evil and John Gunther's settings of the mystic poet, Rumi. Recent recitals include collaborations with pianist Amanda Williams, performing 20th century works by Schoenberg, Poulenc, Stravinsky, Hindemith, and Ullmann; with guitarist Russ Callison, on duets by Wallace, Britten, Brouwer, and Berkeley; and with acclaimed gambist Ann Marie Morgan and baroque violinist Allison Edberg Nyquist, featuring music of Carol Herman and Marin Marais.

Kathryn performs regularly with professional ensembles around the United States, including; Oregon Bach Festival's Berwick Chorus, the Santa Fe Desert Chorale, and the Victoria Bach Festival.
