Lorelei joins Boston Ballet for La Mer, a brand-new work created by lauded choreographer Nanine Linning. Through the lens of an artist, Linning explores the power of expression to shed light on the importance of ocean preservation. Debussy’s sweeping La Mer and choral work Les Sirenes are punctuated by newly created musical compositions by composer Yannis Kyriakides. Vivid imagery in collaboration with haute couture designer Yuima Nakazato, visual and new media artist Heleen Blanken, and award-winning lighting designer Brandon Stirling Baker combine with Linning’s explosive choreography for an unforgettable dance experience.
