Lorelei Ensemble announces search for Operations Manager

Lorelei Ensemble, a dynamic and innovative professional women’s vocal ensemble, seeks an Operations Manager to oversee management and operations for the ensemble’s local and touring performance schedules. Overseeing the work of other paid and volunteer administrative staff, the Operations Manager will coordinate and manage all tasks related to  marketing and communications, publicity, contracting, events, and educational/community outreach. Working together with the Artistic Director and Financial Manager, the Operations Manager will help to determine and maintain Lorelei’s six-figure annual operating budget. In addition to these responsibilities, the Operations Manager will also supervise Lorelei’s exclusive recording contract and will coordinate and provide necessary production support for the ensemble’s national touring activities, self-produced concerts, and artistic residencies. Recent contracts include the Metropolitan Museum, Tanglewood Music Center, the Boston Symphony Orchestra, and numerous residencies with youth choirs and collegiate ensembles from across the country.

Reporting directly to Founder and Artistic Director, Beth Willer, this part-time position (approximately 10-15 hours per week) will be charged with helping Lorelei achieve its mission and vision to “advance the women's vocal ensemble through passionate, engaging artistry and creative collaboration.” Working in close collaboration with multiple constituencies, including the Board of Directors, staff, performers, composers, and volunteers, the Operations Manager will work to foster a professional culture of collaboration and artistic excellence at all levels. Especially important will be the ability to build relationships with community partners and businesses. The operations manager will also be expected to promote the Ensemble, and foster, expand, and elevate its brand both regionally and nationally. A passion for and an ability to articulate Lorelei’s unique mission and vision are crucial to success in the role. Equally important is a collegial working style and passion to be involved on all levels of organizational activity.
